Merry Chrismas

Not many of us celebrating this Christmas actually understand what Christmas is, its history and reason. I can categorically tell you there is no place in the Bible where Christ asked his followers to celebrate his birthday (if there is any please paste let me see it with reasonable proof). Many celebrate because every one else is celebrating; some base on their common idea that it is the day the saviour of the world was born hence it is worth celebrating; some don't even know the essence of the day and hence, jam pack the whole idea claiming "whether it was the day Jesus was born or not everyone is celebrating we would not be the ones to be left out" others celebrate for the fear of being labelled.

Is the popular December 25 the actual date that the Lord Jesus was born? the question poses nude to many. Categorically, not until now many have never asked themselves this question.

A common phenomenon in Nigeria is people criticising the actions, attitudes and beliefs of other people without considering theirs.
Am not here to talk about racial cases or here to convert atheist into believers am just trying to say is when we were  younger our parents often ensured that whatever we want to embark on there was this form of research to the background of the action(s) so we do not fall a prey.

The fact is Jesus was not born on December, 25. (for further info reply to this link www.biblestandardministries.com, jollyjews@yahoo.com, adetolajulius@gmail.com, mmckenziefelix@yahoo.co.uk) For a titbit, Jesus was born October, 1; according to the Bible, Jewish Historians. How did they arrive at this date? study the Life and Death of John the Baptist as stated by the Bible.
Secondly, research shows that 25 December was a date set forth to worship the God of the Sun by a set of worshipers. On this day, it was realized that Christians joined in the celebrations hence, the Leaders of the American Christians decided among itself according to them, thought it wise to institute the celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ which apparently emerged into Christmas.

While am not against this dogmas, am against the ideology of it being the day Christ was born. THe Christian leaders may apparently see nothing wrong with it, but a closer look shows they have dug a deep pit where majority of Christians have fallen into called 'IGNORANCE'. Majority of Christians are blinded on this topic and since from birth many have been thought this dogmas and it remains in their heart many till death except those who by some means break these scales of their iris.

Next time you celebrate, ask yourself WHY?
